What is a makerspace?
A makerspace is a place where members of the community can come to use shared tools and space to work on projects, prototypes, and experiments. The core component of each makerspace is the member. Members not only come to use tools but are also encouraged to teach what they know.
Each makerspace is unique because it is based on the needs and interests of it's members. Members vote to determine what tools and classes will be offered. Most makerspaces have several areas of specialty.
